Cadet Program
The Cadet Corps at New Life CRC runs programs for boys in fourth through eighth grades. The average meeting is geared towards the different age groups, and has a hands-on project or a session teaching a certain skill, and a game. Throughout the year we also hold a number of special events such as campouts, pinewood derby car races and rocket launches.
We usually meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month (Sept-April) from 7-9pm in the church basement.
Founded in 1952, the Corps has more than 650 clubs throughout North America including Canada. The organization uses the title "Calvinist" to honor the Protestant reformer, John Calvin, who devoted his life to the religious education of God's children. Visit the International Cadet organization's home page for more information.
Our Cadet program is led by Mark Hoeksema. He may be contacted at 838-6584.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, February 1 at 7pm. This will be a Father/Son Derby Car Work Night. This will be the last time we meet before the Cadet Derby Race on Friday, February 17.
